The British Academy and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace have awarded £150,000 each for two Fellowships as part of the new Global Innovation Fellowships funding scheme.

The aim of the Fellowships is to provide opportunities to UK-based early- and mid-career researchers from across the SHAPE disciplines to develop their skills, networks and careers while addressing challenges that require innovative approaches and solutions.

The one-year Fellowships will be based at Carnegie’s offices in the USA, fostering a mutually beneficial partnership between the fellowship award holders and Carnegie, with each able to take advantage of fresh perspectives and expand their networks and reach.

This programme is funded by the UK’s Department for Science, Innovation & Technology. In addition, this fund has further funding from UK’s International Science Partnerships Fund managed by the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology. This additional funding is focused on enabling UK-based early career researchers to work with early career researchers in the USA, Japan, Switzerland, South Korea, India, Israel and Canada.
