Head of Venue Sales and Marketing
Salary: c. £45,000 (per annum)
The British Academy is the prestigious home to the UK’s foremost academic experts in the Humanities and Social Sciences.

To help us fulfil this mission, our Venues team markets and sells our meetings and event facilities at Carlton House Terrace, and as Head of Venue Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for delivering our sales budgets and effectively selling all of our meeting rooms and services to maximise income and to promote us as a unique venue in London through proactive and reactive sales. Your role will be wide-ranging including dealing with corporate, private client and internal events.
With proven sales, negotiation and persuasion skills as well as a passion for selling and delivering event services in a heritage, historical and unique venue, you will be a confident sales-driven person with good attention to detail and strong financial acumen. A first-class communicator, you’ll have the ability to build and develop relationships, manage expectations and meet deliverables.
Highly motivated, and a self-starter with an ability to think creatively and have a positive approach to problem-solving, you should be able to lead and work as part of a wider team, as well as taking responsibility for the achievement of goals and delivery of projects.
This is a permanent position, offered at a salary circa £45,000 per annum. The Academy offers 34 days of annual holiday, excellent benefits (including a defined benefit pension scheme) and one of the best locations in London.
