The future of social sciences and humanities in Horizon 2020

Horizon 2020 will be the EU’s new programme for research and innovation running from 2014 to 2020, bringing together all EU research and innovation funding under a common strategic framework, with a proposed budget of 80 million Euro. At an event held at the British Academy on 10 November 2011, and organised in collaboration with ALLEA (All European Academies), Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, European Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science, addressed an audience of key figures representing the international social science and humanities research community from over 20 countries.
