What Happens When No-one Wins? Pre-Election Event

Events • Politics • Panel Discussion

Given that every opinion poll now suggests the coming Election may again be indecisive, the British Academy is staging a special panel discussion to ask: What would an inconclusive General Election result mean for us all? What do the lessons of history teach us? Come and hear what expert political scientists and historians think and put your questions to them.

Speakers:

Professor Peter Hennessy FBA
Queen Mary University of London

Professor Iain McLean FBA
University of Oxford

Dr Catherine Haddon
Institute for Government

Chaired by Paddy O'Connell (BBC Radio 4's Broadcasting House)

This event was followed by a special British Academy post-Election event on 'UK General Election 2015: 3 Weeks On', held on Monday 1 June 2015.
