Victim or voice? Women, activism and social media

This event is held as part of International Women's Day 2017

Join our panel as they discuss how social media 'trolling' fits with our understanding of gender violence, what mechanisms are in place to tackle the problem, and how women can put themselves into a position of power on a digital platform.

Please note this event was originally advertised as being held at the British Academy, it will now be held at the Royal Society.

This event is currently fully booked.

As our public events are free, not everyone who registers for tickets attends. To make sure we have a full house we allocate more tickets than there are seats. We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people. Admission is on a first come, first served basis, so please arrive in good time for the start of the event.

If you have any questions about this event, please refer to our Public Events FAQ. If your question is not answered, please email events@britac.ac.uk.
