Enlightening the Constitutional Debate

Between April 2013 and February 2014 the British Academy and the Royal Society of Edinburgh held a series of focused events to look deeper into the issues that would affect Scotland and the United Kingdom following the referendum on Scottish independence. These events looked at specific areas of policy, such as defence, education, tax and spending and relations with the EU, and how the various constitutional options would affect the ways they are dealt with in the future.

The series was summaried in a book, Enlightening the Constitutional Debate

This was followed by two forums in partnership with the UCL Constitution Unit looking firstly at English Votes for English Laws (Dec 2014), and Constitutional Conventions (March 2015).
